The Mountain Regional Medical Reserve Corps Acupuncture Team (MRMRCAT) is a team of licensed acupuncturists whose sole mission is to provide stress-relieving treatments to first responders and public servants in western North Carolina. Our public service community carries so much – from regular daily job duties that facilitate the long term compounding of stress, to the most impactful events that can be imagined. Willpower and dedication keeps our systems functional, but eventually these stressors could cause deterioration of health, family complications, and often a decline in work performance. The MRC Acupuncture Team’s collaboration with other regional mental health response teams have the ability to make a difference in these lives. Team members may also have the opportunity to deploy to large-scale events throughout the state.

**  This course is reserved for acupuncturists in western North Carolina that are interested in team participation.
